5 WAYS TO RELIEVE STRESS

Updated: Jan 24, 2022

"Stress" seems to have become an extremely popular phrase in today's society, especially with Gen Z. In the last days of the year, the modern pace of life and the hustle and bustle of life make you very prone to stress and fatigue, even exhaustion.

However, instead of letting yourself be sucked into the void of stress and pressure, let’s consult these tips to help alleviate your negative thoughts.

1. REST

Sometimes, in the midst of the hustle and bustle of life, we need to slow down a little. Do not feel guilty if you want to relax or treat yourself. Resting is probably the easiest and most effective way to boost productivity.

Put your phone down, close your laptop and clean your house. Reward yourself with a long, quality sleep. These are ways I relieve myself when I feel stressed out. To have a truly effective break that benefits you in the long run, take deep breaths or do a few easy stretches, I believe it will make things much better.

"If you're tired, rest for a while and then move on..." - quote "Slowing down in a fast-paced world".

2. CREATE YOUR OWN HAPPINESS

When encountering difficulties, we often have the tendency to exert all our effort into solving the issues. This actually creates unwanted stress and fatigue. The more you try to create a short-term solution, the more you’ll fall into a state of hopelessness and despair. Don’t use up all your cards and force yourself to find an exit for the maze of unanswered questions. Allow yourself to cast them aside for the moment and experience small joys such as reading books, listening to music, watching movies. From there, a healthy body as well as a healthy mind can solve simple tasks that may bring unexpected ideas and creativity.

It can be said that happiness is the golden key to the gate of success. So, no matter what you’re doing, or who you’re with, don’t forget to ask yourself the question: “Am I truly happy?”

3. SEEK GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT

Not all difficulties can be overcome by ourselves and not all wounds are self-healing. That's why we need friends and loved ones by our side no matter what. Be open to sharing and actively seek help when needed instead of burying yourself with stress and depression. Spend time with people you love, having some fun gatherings with friends, or simply a warm meal with family are priceless spiritual medicines.

4. RESTRUCTURE YOUR SCHEDULE

An unhealthy lifestyle is one of the main forces that lead to stress. In definition, this lifestyle includes frequently bearing more jobs than you could handle, at the same time with little rest leading to a state of burnout and exhaustion both physically and mentally. Because of this, organizing your schedule in an effective way can do wonders.

Making a reasonable schedule not only helps us to complete the work efficiently, but also can prevent burnout. YouTube vloggers like Giang Oi, Khanh Vy,... can advise you on how to manage your time, then arrange your schedule to suit your workload and life rhythm. Hard work and making progress is good, but don't forget the core value of this life.

5. MOVING FORWARD

Ultimately, maintaining hope in every circumstance is the key to managing stress. There are times when you will feel exhausted and tired, but everything that happens in life, whether good or bad, has its own reason. Therefore, when facing difficulties and obstacles, don't regret what happened, consider it a lesson, an experience so that you can learn and better yourself. Strive for the best version of yourself each day. Stay true to your emotions, whether happy, sad, depressed or desperate. Once you've learned to accept those feelings, learn how to move forward and nurture your own hopes and wishes!
